My Current Favourites.

Hey m’Lovelies.

I know I said on Twitter that this was going to be a self-care post but I decided against it because in all honestly, I haven’t been taking care of myself properly and so I’m not going to preach that to anybody else.

I have however fallen in love with quite a lot of new things recently and thought that I would share them with you. As ever, these are going to be mainly makeup or skincare items with some lifestyle thrown in. I wanted to include more lifestyle items than I have, but most of my belongings are back in my flat in London and I’m currently home in Wales.

Disclaimer :- This is not me encouraging you to buy anything. It is simply me stating what I have been enjoying. If you happen to have these at home and love them … amazing, but don’t feel you have go and get them.

Maybelline Dream Radiant FoundationI am somebody who loves to keep their makeup a bit more on the natural side and this foundation allows me to do just that. It provides light/low medium coverage but can be built up to a solid medium. The finish is a gorgeous dewy (satin if powder used) one that my dry skin loves and it blends seamlessly, turning into a second skin. My only criticism is that you will need to set it in order for it last the whole day.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind ConcealerYes, another Maybelline product but what I say … my skin seems to like their stuff. I use the shade Cool Ivory and even though I’m more neutral-toned (leaning light yellow), this shade seems to really work to brighten my under eyes. The coverage is definitely high medium to full and can be built up. The finish is more on the satin side and powder sits beautifully on top.

Physicians Formula Butter BronzerNow there may be some of you reading this and going ‘how are you only now trying this?’. Physicians Formula only arrived in the UK last year but I have actually been using this for about 6/7 months but bronzer sometimes slips through my mind and I forget to mention it. I use the shade light bronze which suits my fair skin tone perfectly but I do go in with an incredibly light hand and then blend to high heaven. I only like a very light and subtle bronze; I’m talking not being able to see it bronze as I simply want it to look like the human skin tone I do not have. If you want it to make you look sun-kissed then can achieve that look easily by building it up. It does have a sheen to it which I love as it isn’t glittery, it is satin and melts beautifully into the skin.

Burts Bees Lip BalmMy lips are ridiculously dehydrated and I have tried everything to change that but nothing has worked. I finally caved in and bought a Burts Bee’s balm which has worked absolute wonders. It has left my lips feeling so conditioned and I can only liken the texture to that of a flower petal. I will say that you do have to use it consistently or your lips do revert back to where they were. This doesn’t happen immediately, it takes a couple of days of no use to fully revert. The waxy feel does dissipate quickly, so don’t worry about that initial feeling being there all day … it won’t be.

Nescafé Azera Intenso – Coffee and I are best friends. I simply need it to survive at this point. Nescafé Azera is an incredibly smooth feel but it also has the perfect strength to it (easily modified to your preference of course). The first sip of coffee, if made right, gives all coffee drinkers that ‘mmm’ moment; you get that with every sip of this and don’t get the ‘uch’ at the end that happens when the coffee hasn’t dissolved properly. My recommendations for how to drink this is black if you need the kick, and milk with sugar if you want a drink that tastes like a treat.

Now I know that there isn’t many items but as stated before … I’m a girl of routine. However, I have a lot more time on my hands to blog now and will hopefully be able to test some more things out for the blog

You guys will notice that my blog will be going in a different direction from now on, focusing a lot more on lifestyle and writing instead of beauty. There will definitely still be beauty posts but they are not going to be my primary focus as honestly, I can only say so much about them through a blog. I hope that is okay and you understand my decision. Maybe if I was to have a YouTube channel then I could give demonstrations of different looks and talk more in detail about products, but I simply don’t have the confidence for that.

I hope you guys are all keeping safe and well. Thank you for taking the time to read my post.
